when I first saw this i was just thinking "oh a blue phoenix I did a few of those back in the day" but then i read the description and "Dark Mater Phoenix"? XD i have no idea how that would work but it sounds so Metal!
plus i really like the way you did most of the feathers and that same smoky design along the edges that i liked so much on the Luna one, and the Halo is also a nice touch <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=" (Smile)"/>
(I realize i didn't really do this the on my last critique, but it is a critique after all; they aren't allowed to be wholly complimentary) As i said earlier i liked most of the feathers in that the ones on the winds and shoulders look really smooth and organic while the ones on the back of the head and coming off of the eyes especially seem a bit more "blocky" and crisp but on the flip side of that the blue really shows off the pattern above it

all in all a fantastic piece, keep it up! /)
